Slide Ranch’s Spring Fling is such a special day to photograph. Tucked along the coast north of San Francisco, Slide Ranch truly feels like its own little slice of heaven. This event brings so much of that magic to life. It’s a full day of animals, art, food, nature, family, and community, all happening on one of the most beautiful pieces of land in the Bay Area!
As a Bay Area branding photographer, I love documenting places like this because the story goes far beyond one event. It’s about capturing the feeling of what an organization offers, why people are drawn to it, and what makes the experience so meaningful.

Film felt like the perfect way to photograph the 2025 Slide Ranch Spring Fling. The coastal light, natural textures, handmade details, animals, flowers, ocean air, and movement of the day all worked so beautifully on film.
There’s an honesty to film that I love, especially in a place like this. It captures color and imperfection in such a natural way. For an event rooted in land, learning, creativity, and connection, film helped preserve the feeling of the day in a way that felt true to Slide Ranch.

The 2025 Spring Fling gave families the chance to explore so many of the things that make Slide Ranch special. There was goat milking, sheep shearing, holding and feeding chickens, fresh bread baking in the cob oven, indigo dyeing, flower crown making, weaving finger toys in the yurt, yoga out in the field, and walks down to the tide pools.
Everything felt candid and so alive. Kids had space to roam, learn, get their hands dirty, and be fully present in the experience. Those are always the moments I’m most drawn to with event and nonprofit photography because they show what a place actually feels like.

Slide Ranch is more than a beautiful coastal venue. It’s a place where people of all ages can learn about the land, animals, food, nature, and community through hands-on experiences. There’s something really special about watching kids milk goats, gather around the cob oven, explore the garden, or walk toward the water with muddy shoes and curious eyes.
Beyond Slide Ranch Spring Fling, the ranch offers so many ways for people to connect with the land. They host Farm to Belly suppers, summer camps, overnight camping, family programs, school and community programs, and even weddings at Slide Ranch. There are also opportunities to volunteer, which makes it such a great place for families, schools, local communities, and anyone wanting to spend more time learning from the coast!
That’s the kind of storytelling that makes local business branding photography so meaningful! Whether I’m photographing a nonprofit, creative business, community event, or family-centered organization, my goal is always to capture the details that help people understand the heart behind the work.

One of my favorite parts of branding photography is getting to document the real experience behind a business or organization. For Slide Ranch, that means the land, the animals, the families, the educators, the small details, and the moments that happen naturally throughout the day.
Strong branding photos don’t need to feel formal. Sometimes the most powerful photos are the ones that show people fully engaged in what you offer! That’s what I love about photographing local Bay Area businesses, nonprofits, and community events. The photos can help tell the story in a way that feels honest.

Slide Ranch is also personally meaningful to me and my family. We’ve camped on the land, my kids have gone to camp here, and it’s a place I’ve gotten to experience both as a parent and as a photographer.
That made documenting Spring Fling feel even more special. I already knew how magical this place can be, so getting to photograph it for others felt like such a full-circle experience. It’s a place that stays with you after you leave!

If you’re a Bay Area business, nonprofit, creative, or community-centered organization looking for photos that capture the feeling of what you do, I’d love to help document it! Whether it’s an event, a brand story, or a place that means something deeply to your work. My goal is to create images that feel honest and full of life. You can learn more about me on my about page.
