*Many mothers choose a maternity, newborn, and family session for their Yearbook collection
The pregnancy journey is an emotional and physical rollercoaster, with new developments happening all. the. time. Every little change feels special and exciting, getting one step closer to welcoming your baby Earthside. Document your journey into motherhood with my Yearbook Photography Collection.
Following your inquiry, I’ll reach out to book a consultation. We’ll have a brief 10-15 minute phone call where I can answer any question and walk you through the process a bit more. I’ll send over a detailed proposal after we chat, and if everything looks good to you, it’s time to sign on the dotted line! To secure your spot on my calendar, I require a signed contract and non-refundable session fee.
A few weeks before your session, I’ll send over a questionnaire (ugh, homework! But it’s worth it, promise) so I can get to know you better. Tell me everything about what you’re hoping to get out of your session, photo inspo, and more! Then we’ll devise a plan for your best photo experience.
Your session day arrives! We’ll meet at a previously agreed upon location, and the fun will begin. I’ll capture images of this time in your life while guiding you every step of the way. There’s no need to be nervous - I promise we’ll keep things low-key with connection at the forefront.
Once your final images are ready, you’ll receive a link to view a slideshow before choosing your collection. After receiving final payment, I’ll give you access to select, download, and share images to your heart’s content. Each collection also includes a print credit to apply towards albums, frames, and other products to proudly display your favorite memories, so shop away! All products will be shipped directly to you from the photo lab.
My number one rule for choosing your outfit is to wear something that makes you feel good! I’m all for keeping it casual or dressing up, so make sure that you feel comfortable in whatever you’re wearing. You don’t have to be matchy matchy, but it helps when the overall tones are complementary. If you need help, just ask! I love to provide styling advice whenever needed.
For outdoor sessions, I prefer to shoot when the light is best. This happens to be near sunrise and an hour or two before sunset. The light is much harsher in the middle of the day, which isn’t the most flattering! For indoor sessions, we have more flexibility, but will want to consider the available light in your home. Overall, I do my very best to work with your schedule and mine.
You may choose either an in-home session or one of the many beautiful outdoor locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. After your session is booked, I will reach out and connect regarding your location choice. If you choose an in-home session, I typically photograph families in the spaces where everyone is most comfortable, or where you tend to spend time together. The light in your home will inform the shots we create, as long as you have windows with some natural light we're sure to create some magic.
Your online gallery will be delivered within 4 weeks of your session date.
Maternity sessions can happen anytime in the second or third trimester. Women often say they like the way they look and feel between 26-36 weeks.
Absolutely! I love to include fur babies, and it usually works well for in-home sessions. I only ask that you take responsibility for your pet around young children, especially newborns.
I monitor the weather forecast and will reach out if it is clear there will be a lot of rain and/or poor air quality due to fires. If we need to, we will reschedule our session date. I try to accommodate your session as soon as I am able to. This is also the case if you need to reschedule due to unforeseen illness or an accident.
Session Fee: To reserve and book a family session, I require a $300 session fee be paid in full. This fee covers my time both while at the 1-2 hour shoot as well as my time editing the photos afterward. It also includes email and phone consultations to discuss everything about the shoot from location, outfit styling and, most importantly, what you envision for the final images I provide. The session fee DOES NOT include any digital files, prints or other products. The session fee is for a photo session with up to five people. $50 will be added to the session fee for each additional person.
Collections: After the shoot, your online gallery will be ready in a few weeks for viewing with a minimum of 60-70 final images. From there, you will choose one of the three collections at AN ADDITIONAL COST. You do not have to pay for any images until you have seen them in your gallery.
