This intimate Point Reyes elopement in Northern California was one that I’ll never forget. Not only because this couple had such a beautiful love and connection, but they chose to elope in one of the most beautiful locations in California. Point Reyes National Seashore gives you a mix of so much in terms of backdrops – from it’s beautiful cypress trees, the rugged and dramatic cliffs, to the beautiful coastline. Like many of my sessions and weddings, I captured this day on a mix of digital and 35mm film!

Starting at The Cypress Tree Tunnel for Their Intimate Point Reyes Elopement in Northern California

We first started at the famous Cypress Tree Tunnel. This tunnel of trees is truly gorgeous which is why it’s such an iconic location here in Northern California. These Monterey cypress trees were originally planted around 1930. If you’re looking for a beautiful location that not only offers epic coastline views but also beautiful towering trees, then a Point Reyes elopement in Northern California may just be what you’re looking for.

I also have to say that I loved the entire look of their wedding attire. The bride wore a stunning dress and her hair was perfectly done for the windy ocean conditions in Point Reyes! The groom wore a simple suit that really complimented the brides entire look.

Catching Sunset Along The Coast of Point Reyes National Seashore

After taking in the beauty of Cypress Tree Tunnel, we then made our way to the rugged coast where we caught sunset. It’s easy to see why Point Reyes National Seashore is so popular! It truly is such a beautiful and romantic location.

With the rolling hills, epic sunsets and ocean views, you truly can’t go wrong in choosing Point Reyes as your Northern California elopement location. These two planned to have a larger party and celebration with their family after their intimate Point Reyes elopement. It was so special to be a part of their day!
