These East Bay maternity & family pictures at Tilden Regional Park were full of fun, adventure, and lots of love! I first met this client during an outdoor session with her daughter at Blake Garden. They share such a special mother-daughter connection, it was lovely to witness and to capture! So I was thrilled when she reached out for a full family session, including her husband, dog and growing baby belly!

We decided to meet at a favorite regional park where they like to bring their dog. It was perfect for their outdoor session, and Tilden Regional Park lands in my “Top East Bay Area Photography Locations For Family Photos“. Like many of my sessions, I captured this on a mix of digital and 35mm film.

Having dog friendly locations on my list of outdoor spots is important as several of my clients have fur babies. This active, outdoorsy family loved walking the trails to a small creek. There was lots of exploring for their 4 year old daughter – finding feathers, running through tall dry grass, eating snacks, snuggling mama’s growing belly and riding up on dad’s shoulders.

We captured thoughtful portraits of mom with her beautiful pregnant body, as well as her daughter AND the entire family together. This range of candid images and artful portraits is possible during a maternity session! I was excited that the family used some of the images from the session for their holiday card/pregnancy announcement.
