These San Francisco Botanical Garden family photos were full of sunshine, vibrant colors, and lots of fun! This was an extended family session that brought together two sisters and their parents, along with their partners and kids. Having been raised in San Francisco – both the grandparents and parents – it was special to capture everyone together in a beautiful and meaningful location!

The little ones had fun exploring in nature and I was able to capture various combinations of family members – from the whole group together, to the sisters sharing laughs and individual portraits of each grandparent. While this session occurred at the end of January, we still had ample sunshine and vibrant colors!

One of the many reasons I love the San Francisco Botanical Gardens for sessions is how large it is. It offers many different areas to explore along with thousands of different plants. It sits on 55 acres, so as you can imagine, there is a ton of space for littles to run around and get their energy out. You can find a detailed map on the garden here.

The gardens are also very ADA accessible. If you have any family members who need to use a wheelchair, they can still enjoy the experience. Not only is The San Francisco Botanical Garden perfect for your family session, but you also can make it a little adventure. There’s just so much here to see and do!
