These outdoor San Francisco family photos at Lands End were so fun to capture. What a dream session this was! Lands End just so happens to be one of my favorite San Francisco photoshoot locations. It offers easy trails for the kids to walk along, parking nearby, dramatic scenery with cypress trees, ocean views, and Sutro Baths! Like many of my sessions, these were captured on a mix of digital and 35mm film.

Outdoor San Francisco Family Photos at Lands End

It was such a pleasure to capture this super sweet and adventurous family with the most adorable two year old. We had fun exploring along the trails at Lands End, walking among coastal cypress and eucalyptus trees towards Sutro Baths. We discovered a fort made out of sticks, did a lot of running while holding mom and dad’s hands, checked out the coastal views at the Lands End lookout point and made our way down the stairs to view Sutro Baths.

I love the moments of connection shared among these three and exuberance the little one brought to exploring the natural world around her. I also love the pop of colors integrated into their outfits, which really stand out against the more muted, foggy sky. You’ll notice this family made an outfit change mid-session, which I’m all for if you want to mix it up! Another highlight was capturing the heart-shaped rock – can you spot it?!
