This Palace of Fine Arts photoshoot branding session with Avital was so fun! I love working with creative entrepreneurs and small business owners on branding and creative headshot sessions. Avital is a super talented makeup artist and the salon owner of Avital Beauty Lounge who has been in business for over 15 years.

She works in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and even abroad. A few years ago she launched her own makeup line, Puzzle Makeup, and as the business grows, she wanted some creative, authentic imagery that went beyond headshots to use for her marketing. Avital’s Palace of Fine Arts Photoshoot Branding Session

While I’ve taken photos of Avital doing other people’s makeup, this session was focused on her as a creative business owner beyond just makeup. We decided to take a mix of film and digital images in the iconic Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. From the dramatic green doors to the beautiful redwood trees and legendary Greco-Roman rotunda, we had a variety of beautiful backdrops and lighting to work with.

With branding images, I aim to capture the special spark that makes you YOU. In preparing for the session, I get to know you and your business through a detailed questionnaire and planned phone call. This allows me to capture your unique personality, energy, and beauty.

During a creative branding session, I take a few traditional headshots, but the larger focus is usually on making creative portraits that reflect your unique personality and line of work. The photos are on-brand and help to tell a bit about your story and the work you do.
